These frogs were calling in large numbers up and down this canyon after an afternoon rain.
A pair of Red-spotted Toads is calling in the background.

As a side note, I've always thought these things look and sounded like they belong in the genus Smilisca.

This Texas Toad was calling from a gravel lined parking area for fracking trucks. It had obviously previously been a temporary wetland that was destroyed to make a parking area.
