I believe this is a hornwort, though I didn't see any horns. I haven't seen a divaricate hornwort like this, so maybe I'll be able to narrow down the ID a little...

Male, species confirmed by shape of aedeagus, as seen in second pic. M. scudderi would have diverging tips, where M. coreyi overlap and look more like a ring. Also saw a female "M. scudderi"-type, which was likely this species.
