Photographed at midnight, luminescence photographed with 30 second exposure per shot, iso 1600, manual focus all the way close, 35 shots in the stack for a total time of 18 minutes. Combined with Helicon Focus 7.
This orange fungi was all over a recently burned area in the Cascades. It was bright orange with little bits of white around the edge of the pile. Each pile of orange fungi was about 4 inches wide. The older specimens had little cups that were orange on the inside and blackish on the outside. On ash, or very burned areas. In Ponderosa Pine forest.
The spores were elliptical and smooth.
