Released into the park today. Had been brought to the nature center a few weeks ago by someone that had found it in their house during very cold weather.
Same individual skink as documented by at least one other at Huntley Meadows on April 30, 2018 as a Common Five-lined Skink.
Muddy face because it most likely has just emerged from hibernating on this warm day, with temps in the high '70's.
Found at the only location this species still exists at in Arlington. Always a reliable spot to find them.
Toad eggs in shallow pond
