This is the same snake I found previously, under the same board, 2 days before, but in a different position.
Here's the link of the observation when I found it the first time: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/203515187
I found another Kingsnake within 15 feet of it as well.

Found the Kingsnake under a felt sheet, on the side of a relatively busy road. It was within 15 feet of another Kingsnake under a wood board.
Here's the link for that snake:

This individual was quite skittish and aggressive, so I picked it up and brought it on to the road to photograph, before it could disappear into the grass. It bit my shoes several times. The other Kingsnake was much calmer.
I released it by the felt sheet, but it slithered another way instead.
Young individual found under a rock. Last photo is as found.
Found the beautiful California Kingsnake under a board by a relatively busy road.
It had fitted itself into the tunnel system made by California Meadow Vole under the board.
It stayed perfectly still while I grabbed a couple shots and then returned the board back to its place
