Bright yellow monochromatic bee, approximately 2 inches long. Found dead on sidewalk.
There are several bee nests in the park which likely contribute to its popularity with some birds. This nest, high in a Sycamore, was conspicuously active.
Chilly and very breezy day, and this bee was probably cold stunned.
