Long tangly vine with thin tendrils curling around and over a variety of plants in the area.
Desert Starvine (Brandegea bigelovii) Native, perennial, vine in the squash family, that is native to the deserts of California, Arizona and northern Mexico. It grows in canyons, washes and on sandy slopes. Leaves are dark green, deeply lobed, and dotted adaxially with white glands. The plant produces tendrils that wrap around stems of other plants. Flowers are white and tiny, with five pointed petals. The white glands and beaked fruit are characteristic.
