I have had an interest in the indigenous flora of Eastern Australia for the last 40+ years and recently the privilege of helping with the construction of Tim D'Ombrain's project to map the Victorian vegetation down to a paddock scale. The current EVC model maps it at a far coarser scale.
Tim's is an evidence based model and is already providing very accurate predictions that have been verified in the field.
