I have been an avid birder for well over 50 years and have been chasing nature photographic subjects since about 1969. I am currently retired after 40 years in private dental practice.
All nature subjects interest me with special emphasis on birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and damselflies.
I am the owner of two self-proclaimed nature preserves. One is in East Texas that includes an 116 acre lake with associated wetlands and the other is in the Edwards Plateau region of Central Texas.
The East Texas preserve concentrates on raising Wood Ducks and other East Texas birds, reptiles, amphibians, odonates, butterflies, and native plants. The Central Texas property management is dedicated to nesting habitat for two endangered species, Black-capped Vireo and Golden-cheeked Warbler, as well as native plants and animals.
I will never cease to be interested in learning more about all aspects of the wonderful world of nature whether it is my yard or at the four corners of our amazing world!
