I am a confessed daisy nerd. I have a PhD in Botany from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. For my PhD thesis I investigated intergeneric hybridisation among the New Zealand everlastings (Asteraceae, tribe Gnaphalieae), a fantastically diverse and actively evolving group of plants. I am now devoted to making sense of the taxonomic chaos that is Arctotis and related genera (Arctotheca, Haplocarpha, Dymondia and Cymbonotus), as well as Berkheya and Gazania (also members of tribe Arctotideae).
