We're in the final 2 weeks of the Telephone Gap BioBlitz! Your contributions will be essential in our analyses of biological life in this area. Many of you have made multiple visits to the project area throughout the length of the BioBlitz and your information is invaluable. We appreciate all the time and effort expended to document species from all taxa (through a pandemic no less)! Thank you to our participants!!
The FS is extending our virtual BioBlitz until the end of September! With all of you providing so many important records of species and taking fabulous photographs, we decided to keep going so that we can continue to cover changing biological life cycles from spring through early fall. Thanks to all of our participants for their incredible documentation thus far!
Winter greetings! With this fresh snow, now is a great time to get out and look for animal tracks. We’d love to know what mammals are out and about. Grab your camera, don your snowshoes or skis, and explore some of the more remote areas away from roads and trailheads. Happy tracking!
Green Mountain NF has lifted the Developed Campground and AT/LT Shelter and Privy closure order effective Friday, June 26.
PLEASE NOTE: If you find a plant species in the attached list (called the Regional Forester's Sensitive Species list), please obscure the location in iNaturalist but send the location's coordinates to mary.deller@usda.gov.
