    Red List Rationale

Although the dry deciduous forests of Madagascar are under considerable pressure from 'Tavy' slash and burn agriculture, this species still occurs in large numbers and is widespread across the island. Analysis of ongoing loss of forest is needed to detect and future changes in the status of this species.
