Very weird squirrel, never seen anything like it.
Garter snake observed within town limits of a small Ontario town.
Blue stripes along the length of the body very similar to TS similis (however unable to verify this subspecies outside of western Florida )
Need confirmation/verification/recommendation (....or maybe just a job)
Snake was active and unharmed
Female. Pretty sure on this one. Dark patch at base of wings makes it either S.Whitehousei, Franklini, or Septentrionalis. It's nowhere near slender or long enough for Franklini. And Septentrionalis has not been found at this location. Basal plate, pattern, and appendages also look good for whitehousei.
Plains Emerald...? -> ! At Nashville Conservation Reserve, Kleinberg ON. Habitat was a long-grass type area interspersed with rows of younger planted pines. Short appendages, yellow face, pattern and colour match. Basal plate match.
I thought it was a Canada but comparing I'm not so sure and would love something help!
I have catched this lizard near Tobermory and took a great picture of it.
