Last week, my family and I went on a vacation to Texas!
We visited the Dallas Aquarium and the Perot Museum, both sites being great learning opportunities for anyone visiting Dallas.
I was lucky enough to spot a Northern Mockingbird, the state bird of Texas, perching on the shallowly-submerged outcropping of a pool. I enjoyed my stay there (although my Canadian self was not prepared for the heat difference), and would definitely visit again.

While walking along a sidewalk beside a busy road near my home, I decided to take a closer look at the flowers and plants growing where the sidewalk meets a raised wall on the side opposite the road. Imagine my surprise at the variety of plants I ended up finding there! Five observations are tagged here, although there are several more species that I may take pictures of over the next month. Although many of them are weeds, they certainly provide a splash of colour amidst the drab infrastructure.

Yesterday, a few friends and I took a day trip to Guelph, Ontario. On the way there, we passed by several farmsteads with horses swishing about, spotted Common Grackles by the side of the road, and many periwinkles growing on the UofG campus!

Hello and salut!
I've always had a passion for biology, learning about animals in particular. After seeing a Red-Tailed Hawk in front of my school, I searched for effective wildlife identifiers, when I came across the iNaturalist app. I joined the iNaturalist network on April 26, 2022, and I'm excited to share and learn more about wildlife on this app!
