I am currently a Biology student at University of Puerto Rico - Cayey and I am exploring opportunities for experience in environmental related projects and research. I am also interested in creating my own research project relating to the environment of Puerto Rico and its organisms in the future.
As a kid I had a peculiar interest in watching animals interacting with the little ecosystem that was my backyard and finding out who were they. I was also interested in working with plants and watching my hardwork give possitive results. But furthermore, I was interested in seeing what I could do to stop my sorroundings from getting contaminated by us humans, that way preventing negative impacts on the creatures living alongside us.
Now, after having taken a Zoology course, that interest has become a passion I want to work with in Puerto Rico.
I look forward to working with iNaturalist to learn and to contribute crucial information regarding the fauna and flora of Puerto Rico. My focus right now is sighting the terrestrial gastropods found in the island.
