(ENG/FR) What drives me the most is all the intricate links between every little part of the ecosystem, especially evolutionary adaptations (mimetism, amongst others), parasitic and symbiotic relationships, and societal/cultural perspectives towards arthropods, positive and negative.

You may notice in my IDs, I like adding a note of about hosts plants, or the background plant, if possible. Especially for arthropods, their choice of plant can be very informative and help with IDing. It may also help with the protection and conservation of our ecosystems, so I like adding a little note about it. Don't mind me!

With all due respect, I kindly ask you to not add a different ID if you cannot explain the reason for it (but please do correct me if you can provide details!!). I can be mistaken, like all of us, but comments like "that doesn't look like x species at all", with no justification for disagreeing, or nuancing at all, are not helpful to me, nor the community, and clog up my data and taxa organization.

My pics are generally taken in the greater Montreal area (including Montérégie/South Shore, the Montreal Island itself, and Lanaudière/Laurentides/North Shore), and sometimes around Oka, and the Eastern Townships (Cowansville, Sutton, Brome, Sherbrooke, and others), but I do travel all around the province.

My favorite of them all is chalybion californicum!
