I am a retired environmental scientist (mostly worked in regulations compliance) who has been a birder for over 50 years. I am particularly fond of North American vireos and wood-warblers. I have a keen interest in bird vocalizations and enjoy making audio recordings of birds and frogs. I also enjoy herping and identifying plants, but really I'm just fascinated with anything relating to natural science.
