Mothing nights July and August 2024
Come one come all to the mothing nights this July and August! We will be setting up black lights at these locations for the Moths of Greater Austin iNaturalist Project with @jcochran706 . We will update this journal as well as the journal in the iNaturalist project with specific locations and information when we get it. For now, just mark your calendar!

7/24 @7pm: Red Bluff Nature Preserve
-After the Capital Area Master Naturalist monthly meeting

7/28 @7pm: Bastrop State Park
8/3 @7pm: TBD (Can you recommend a location in Central Texas??)

I probably won't be there, but perhaps Balcones NWR. It's been a few years since I've been and I can't speak for the moths, but I've seen Hercules beetles, tarantulas, tarantula hawks, and scorpions there.
