1000 species!

A few days/weeks ago the Santa Lucía Cloud Forest Reserve Project reached 1.000 identified species. Thanks to @meganhanson , @emilyscherer , @gechj88 , @oliverpatrick , @camitom , @anna-easton , @nikimelnick , @djhird , @pinesnake , @asverclova , @ulsterbotany @jzmichel and all the others who helped reaching that number. Birds, orchids and lizards seem to be the most commonly observed and photographed species groups according to the species list. Lately fungus has been catching up though ... although it seems to be somewhat difficult to get IDs down to species level here. We'll keep trying and hope that maybe in a year from now we reach the 2.000 species ... considering there are around 1.500 species in vascular plants alone in Santa Lucía this should be possible. We are motivating all our visitors, especially students, to contribute to our data base.
