I am an environmental scientist, educator, and Mom. My academic training is in solid Earth sciences, which has opened the door to a lifetime of living, teaching, and studying outdoors. I am a practitioner of and advocate for hands-on learning, with a special interest in interweaving “western scientific” methodologies with traditional ecological knowledge. My favorite species are those I’ve observed while travelling with my family.
