-appeared to be sleeping
-appeared to be avoiding direct sunlight by keeping its body below the walkway
-did not seem to care at all about human presence or the any of the birds or fish nearby
-possibly about 3 meters long
-mostly submerged under water, eyes and nostrils above water

-found in stagnant water in a dam system
-some vegetation in the water
-mud in the water depressed when stepped on
-fled from humans into the grass, appeared to attempt to hide there
-opened its mouth when picked up initially
-peed in hand after being held for about 10 minutes
-coiled around fingers, didn't attempt to bite or constrict hand
-did not move very much in hand, didn't appear to try and escape

Came out from under a boulder. No quick movements. Did not seem concerned by human presence. Moved in a roughly 4 meter circle until going back under Boulder. 27 degrees Celsius

Found under old barn walling huddled together with another rattlesnake. Cool day. Hissed when tampered with. Fairly slow moving. Didn't make any sudden movements.
