Whip Spider caught what we thought was a Blind Snake. If the snake was already dead I don't know, ants were already on it. The spider was in a hurry to escape into the dark ... thus only one photo

Amazed the find the same female almost a year apart. Re-identified by matching the yellow patterns as well as by the fact that it is blind in it’s left eye.

These four Chinchemolles were living under loose rocks on a rock outcrop (picture 14). Two females were close together under one of the rocks, clutching the upper, loose rock rather than the solid basal rock (picture 13). The remaining two (a male and female) were also found together, also on the underside of a loose rock.
Picture 8 shows a bright red mite in a concavity on the body. All four of the animals had some (1-5) mites visible on the mid-body, head, or antenna.
Also present under the rocks were Black widow spiders (Latrodectus species?).

This is one of the most incredible beasts I've ever seen. Found it in our cabin on the saltillo tile floor. The coin in the photos is a Mexican 5 peso coin which is slightly larger than a quarter. This fellow escaped under some furniture. I'd rather not step on it at night while barefoot!
