Found growing under deadfall aspen from bark in high elevation mixed forest. Serrated gills. 2 specimens growing next to eachother
Growing under Arizona Cypress near the Sunny Flat campground, around 5,400ft. Cap is white with small brown scales, a striated margin, and a raised center. Younger caps are brown. Margin has some remnants of what looks like a partial veil. Gills are white, large, well-spaced, and free from the stipe. Stipe is white towards the cap and yellow towards the base with an orange-brown guttate present at most stages of growth. The guttate droplets seem to also be present on the very young caps. The guttate droplets leave brown indentations when in dry conditions, then may fill with guttate again when it rains. Flesh is white. KOH negative on flesh and cap.
First observation in San Francisco peaks 2nd in Arizona.
