Saw this animal at a lake in the middle of the day. Very unusual since these guys are nocturnal. Skin swab collected from this salamander tested positive for Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis.

Three juveniles found at the base of limestone outcrops/caves.

aquatic stage, in Little River creek. SO surprised to see this in the summer !

This looks to be an example of a hypomelanistic version of a red-bellied newt. I have not been able to see any documented observations like this!
