I was very surprised to find this big patch of hedgehogs in March... They were growing under birch and spruce.
There is a family of Peregrines nesting at McClure's Beach at Pt Reyes.
Saw him sitting atop the edge of a branch.
Saw him on the sidewalk near some bushes. After I approached him a bit for a photo, he flew into the bushes where I got another shot.
Zebra-tailed Lizards are so awesome. Long toes, crazy tails, insanely fast.

I found this guy in a blueberry bush. They're an invasive species in NJ, but apparently not that rare to find in the southern part of the state.
I dug her up on a beach in Long Beach Island (LBI). She was gravid with a large, orange bunch of eggs.
Such cool birds.
Not sure what species this is, but it had these really cool projections from the flowers.
