What a great evening at Landa Park in New Braunfels! I met with Casey, Matthew, and John to look for some aquatic insects that would come to black-lights. We spotted lots of really neat things this evening! :)

This individual was in a pitfall trap that was set out at the time given in the observation and taken in on the morning of May 2, 2024.
There was at least one freezing night and one rainy day during the time the trap was out. It was placed between two shrubs in a yard with a few trees. The soil was hard and fairly bare in the trap’s location.

Walking the old southern terminus of the Florida Trail for a bit. Water levels have dropped quickly over the last couple weeks and there were several dried up puddles with dead fish and shrimp in them.
