Pubescence can be seen on the stem in the second photo
Although the leaves are narrower than normal, the red base indicates tricoccum rather than burdickii. These 4 plants were very out of place, as they were the only plants of this species in the north section of the park that I saw, and here they were growing in the disturbed area with garlic mustard.
Hairs can be seen on the edges of the leaves, as well they look like pin pricks when being viewed head on.
Big cluster of them, seen in a couple more locations. Pin is approximate because I was lost around this time.
Pretty common in this forest. I'm surprised an animal didn't come and eat the last of the berry on this plant. They're usually gone by this time of year.
Only pink flowers I noticed today. All others were white or blue
