Growing in brackish water, bush stream outflow to the sea.
Growing low through native shrubs along the caves access track beside the wetlands.
Moth flew to a rotten log on the ground. Note the tiny millipede that photo-bombed images 2,3 & 4. Crawled right under the nose of the moth!
Is this blue colour natural? Spotted it at irregular intervals on various mosses like this along the track, and another type of moss. Didn't seem like the kind of track where chemical spray had been used.
Growing as a tree beside the track, in kauri forest on a ridge line. Haven't observed a mature tree in the wild, so this ID is a guess. Feel free to prove me wrong :-)
