Portion of a loafing flock of about 30 non-breeding Bonaparte's Gulls, mostly yearlings (second calendar year) but with a couple of breeding-plumage adults. Photos taken before and after they were flushed by a dog.
One of a roving band of about 10 Bushtits (see also https://inaturalist.ca/observations/230045113). Female (pale iris). Not sure if the tail has been lost or is just obscured at an odd angle.
