I know this is not the dark morph female tiger swallowtail but how does one tell the difference between a female black swallowtail and an Ozark swallowtail?
Common along roadside wildflowers in April. (On buttercup in photo above). Very active and swift flyers. Could see bright yellow underwing with black dots near outside edge and larger golden circle outlined with dark O in middle of underside.
Found in pasture field
IDed as Northern Crescent due to having no postmedian band but difficult to differentiate from Pearl Crescent.
