What is the epibiota on this seagrass?
Single plant, with scape reaching far above basal leaves in a fan. Enlarge photo 3 for margins of lateral sepals, with minute teeth, extending just above the lower scales. In a seepage beside a thickly vegetated drain in longleaf-wiregrass. Comments welcome!
I believe this is the only confirmed occurrence in Maine. (It appears that there is a consensus among other authors that this specimen is insufficient or not identifiable.)
The plants' twisted habit is obvious, but the most important trait for the ID is the firm and ciliate keel/margin of the lateral sepal shown in the last photo.
