The only expected Mustelids here are Long-tailed and Short-tailed Weasels, and Mink. These tracks are certainly too big for the weasel and to me, seem too big for an American Mink.
In the end I've come to the conclusion these are the tracks of a large male mink.
looks like teeth marks on this tree
Animal dropping. Approximately 2 cm long. All had this kidney shap.
footprints/tracks in the mud. Foot provides scale
Largest track is 9 by 6 cm at widest points
Bear track in sandy soil.
The feces have a large amount of crayfish shells.
Lens cap is a 77 mm and glove is an extra large.
What would create these channels? Muskrats? One photo shows tracks in the mud.
Muskrat tracks walking down the trail at Kehoe. Not a common observation in this area. Could use more ID’s.
Not sure about this track. Help appreciated!
