2 cm long and .001 cm wide. It was thin and green. Found growing on a mud beach next to the canal.
A lot of seaweed in the waves, nearly high tide, south westerly wind. Distinct smell of rotting seaweed, but not much washed up on the beach. Guessing that the bulk of the bits in the waves are sea lettuce?
This picture was taken at the USF lab during Protist week. It was looked at under a microscope on a wet slide.

Field Notes - Several galls on a ‘Corymbia’ eucalypt tree on a ridge above the Auburn River campground. Spotted late afternoon.
