The stem was dry and the cap was a little moist.
Possibly. It could also be the yellow gilled Neohygrocybe but the black/brown staining is already evident on these relatively fresh specimens. Growing amongst Tilia Fagus Ostrya
H. tahquamenonensis most likely. That species isn't in the iNat database.
Hygrophorus 3. Oak hemlock. Ave. spore size 9 x 6 microns.
