Several black spots. Found crawling on my pencil holder and pencils. Moving very quickly. Flew away after crawling on my textbook
The ant crawled along the arm of the observer's wooden chair. It took a nonlinear path, and stopped sometimes to assess its surroundings.
A single spider crossed paths with me. It scurried to a corner where I quickly snapped a picture before it disappeared into a crack of the sidewalk.
Thick leathery leaves with aggregate, purse like fruit that drops out seeds. Fruit is spiked and fuzzy with a two colored stem
Eggs of some amphibian?
This poor picture taken from outside the water shows 2 swimming salamander rear 1/2. Both are likely Spotted salamanders, but only one show the characteristic yellow spotting pattern. This was the first warm and rainy night of the year with Amphibians at this site.
