I took a photo of this tree squirrel at carnegie
A little unusual for my area (actually the first eastern gray I’ve seen in Austin in 2+ years). But it did not have the red coloration of fox squirrels. Thoughts?
This squirrel was scratching itself on the bark and rolling around on the branches. It was alone and very active, running from the ground and hopping onto the tree. It did not seem very scared of people.
