Artist, avid gardener, continuous learner. and most recently a seed collector .We are replacing our lawn with native plants, focusing on food for pollinators and creating habitat gardens in Houston, Texas. Working from home in 2020 and watching the lawn / light patterns from the window initially spurred my action.. I jumped in that year taking on a project I previously considered too big for myself, but thought of often. Observing the increase in visitors and plants naturally appearing is a continuous joy which keeps the momentum going. We have quickly learned why it is said ‘there is never enough’ milkweed as I watch the number of Monarch caterpillar increase, Wow! If you plant it, they will come! I enjoy the immersive learning of this process, including the mistakes along the way.
