Have been working with chewing lice (Phthiraptera: Ischnocera) since 2007, focusing mainly on lice from passeriform, charadriiform, and galliform hosts, but have described/redescribed lice from a variety of host groups. Now working in Guangzhou, China, where most of my time is spent working on an illustrated checklist of the Ischnocera of China. We estimate that about 5–7% of the true fauna of China is known, so this will be more of a launch pad to get people here interested in lice, and give people something to build on.
