Settler on Treaty Land, Traditional First Nations Territory on Turtle Island (Ontario, Canada). Nature- and animal lover, vegetarian. Long-time birder but never great at it. I also developed a visual disability a few years ago. Fortunately, I discovered that phone/camera + iNaturalist help me to see plants and animals better, and identify species despite my limited vision. This allows me to keep enjoying birding and all of nature.

Also discovered that I can share audio observations (bird and animal sounds). This makes iNaturalist even more accessible for people with limited vision!
