Studied geography (including biogeography & botany) at San Francisco State. Even though I lived in the northeast as a kid, I'm still getting used to the NY biome, learning what I can. I like industrial birding and generally finding nature in unlikely locations.

I used to live in Venezuela and Chile and have traveled a lot in the Andean region.

I have always been better at spotting living things than at identifying them. Thanks to many people here, I am learning a lot.
