Surprisingly Warm Night for Final Lake Creek TAW of 2016 - December 10

Showing up in December is an act of complete solidarity for the continuous recording of Amphibian Watch data for every month of 2016. Yeaaaaa, Team!!

I am giving a big, hearty Thank You to Kathy McCormack for taking the lead yet again at Lake Creek for the December monitoring. Thanks to all seven people who came out: Kathy, Bill, Randy, Sandra, Hunter, Tonja and a first-ever TAW participant Virginia Palacios. Hunter and Tonja have been to Berry Springs and Devine, but this is their first time at Lake Creek – so welcome all.

Environmental Conditions (at 17:30):
Air T at sunset: 51.1 deg F (10.6C)
Water T at sunset: 50.8 deg F (10.4C)
Sky: 2 - Mostly cloudy
Water level: AVG - Average
Humidity at sunset: 56%

Amphibian Watch Report:
There were no signs of frogs or toads a Lake Creek Dam or the stonewalls along the sidewalk last night.

General Observations:
They heard a Great Horned Owl at 17:34, and a fine mist started falling on the group on the walk back to the cars after monitoring (17:00 - 18:30).
