Σουπιοκαλάμαρο (Sepioteuthis lessoniana) - Bigfin reef squid (Sepioteuthis lessoniana)
Ένα ακόμα ξενικό είδος που έχει εισέλθει τα τελευταία χρόνια στις ελληνικές θάλασσες είναι το Σουπιοκαλάμαρο (Sepioteuthis lessoniana) το οποίο καταγράφηκε για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα το 2009.
Η φυσική του εξάπλωση είναι στην Ερυθρά θάλασσα, τον Β. Ινδικό και τον Δ. Ειρηνικό ωκεανό.
Στην Ελλάδα το σουπιοκαλάμαρο συναντάται στα Δωδεκάνησα και στην Κρήτη.
Οι βασικές διαφορές του από το αυτόχθονο καλαμάρι (Lolligo vulgaris) εντοπίζονται στα πτερύγια, που στο σουπιοκαλάμαρο καταλαμβάνουν όλη την περιφέρεια του μανδύα (σώμα), ενώ στο κοινό καλαμάρι ξεκινάνε από τη μέση του μανδύα και επεκτείνονται προς το τέλος του σώματος. Επιπλέον, η μορφολογία των πτερυγίων είναι διαφορετική, με του κοινού καλαμαριού να είναι σχεδόν τριγωνικά.
Τα δύο είδη διαφέρουν επίσης στο χρώμα, καθώς το σουπιοκαλάμαρο φέρει άσπρες βούλες, οι οποίες μπορεί να δημιουργήσουν κάθετες άσπρες ρίγες και έντονο πράσινο χρώμα γύρω από τους οφθαλμούς.
Το σουπιοκαλάμαρο κάνει την εμφάνιση του πιο αισθητή στην παράκτια περιοχή κατά την διάρκεια των χειμερινών μηνών αναζητώντας θερμότερα νερά που προσφέρουν περισσότερη τροφή.

Another alien species that has entered the Greek seas in recent years is the Sepioteuthis lessoniana which was first recorded in Greece in 2009.
The estimated native range of the bigfin reef squid is the Red Sea, the North Indian and West pacific. In Greece, the bigfin reef squid is found in Dodecanese and Crete.
Bigfin reef squids are easy to distinguish from native squid (Lolligo vulgaris) in that they possess thick and muscular oval fins that extend around almost the entire mantle
while in the common squid they start from the middle of the mantle and extend towards the end of the body.
In addition, the morphology of the fins is different, with the common squids being almost triangular.
The two species also differ in color, as the bigfin reef squid have white spots, which can create vertical white stripes and a bright green color around the eyes. The bigfin reef squid makes its appearance more noticeable in the coastal area during the winter months by looking for warmer waters that offer more food.
